HEAL AT THE PACE OF NATURE
Our brains are muscles; our bodies biomagnetic.
Our thoughts, energetic inspirations, travel along neurological pathways firing over and over again.
Similarly to bicep curls, the more you think about a certain thing or repeat a belief, that neurological pathway strengthens.
How many of those pathways are based on negatively polarised or traumatic belief systems?
How many times have you said to yourself “I can’t do it ” fearfully getting in your own way?
How often do you have moments of inspiration that quickly dwindle down into a cynical “Oh well, that's never going to actually happen for me."
"I'm not ________ enough..."
How many times have you engaged that muscle in your mind?
When changing a process, pattern, or habit, it’s going to take rerouting and gentle working through the nervous systems to consciously make a difference.
Physically, nobody can hold a handstand or lift a heavy load without first strengthening the muscles to support it.
Turning a myriad of negative thought processes and belief-based habits into ones that can allow you to move into your Self at a pace that is sustainable and respectful of your own process is key.
I've witnessed what too many pressured "BIG LEAPS" can do, and ultimately, the nervous system isn't always designed to sustain growth at that pace.
We move as Nature moves: with seasons, the tidal ebbs and flows, contractions and relaxings. Respecting the spectrum of needs as we evolve is pivotal to creating a trust within the Self.
This takes learning the language of your emotions.
Unlearning the reactionary tales of the past and taking back control over your internal environment.
Noticing within, what patterns in these scenarios tend to arise.
What’s the scene?
What emotions triggered it?
Where within the body is this fear showing up?
How are we seeking familiarity?

By beginning to NOTICE, you create an awareness.

Learn to alchemise those thought processes into something golden.
Something you can use as new foundations; Something you can fully embody as a new belief system, and consciously flex that muscle until it becomes Second Nature.
Change isn’t easy. Growth takes work.
And yet so does staying the same.
Your decision lies in whether or not you want to work on continuing your life as is, or in choosing to put that energy and play into your own development.
By implementing a balance in understanding yourself on a cerebral level as well as the physical, you're then able to move into the deeper levels of the Self.
Understand your Nature, your Spirit, your own personal Energy and
learn the language of your own emotions.
When you understand the microcosm of your Own, you see the macrocosm.
You become it. You are infinite.
Illuminate yourself on all levels and observe how the universe welcomes you Home.

behind the OHM
Salma Othman
Salma Othman is an interdisciplinary worker of integrated somatic trauma-release therapeutics, yoga, energetics, and bodywork.
A benevolent investigator with a Jungian curiosity, Salma’s personal journey has been and will continue to be a dance within dualities.
By learning from the teachings of esoteric Taoist and Buddhist practices, Shamanism, Bodywork, Reiki, Psychomagick, Tarot, and teachings of the Munay Ki,
the PsychoSomatic understanding is a baseline thread throughout her work and practices; allowing an integrated trauma-informed approach to healing the mind, body, and Spirit.
a letter to you

Ever the student, everything I share has been a journey of my own.
Drawn from the experiences learned, and my dedication to self and spiritual development, I approached my own healing with a dance between the mind and the heart.
Then I discovered the beauty behind the brain-body connection.
I always had a deep desire to understand things wholly, holistically.
The what, the why, the how; and as I learned to unravel all of my own traumas and stories, I realised that there was another layer to it.
How deeply one had to go in order to clarify each present moment.
The unlearning of all the behaviours, habits, beliefs, from reactionary into responsiveness.
This was when my spiritual practices enticed me to play in the depths of receptivity.
With an approach that combined the pragmatic and the playful, I learned to balance the coin toss of polarity.
Mirroring the Yin/Yang, I learned to embrace my dualities, in all forms, and a lot of that started with not taking this work so damn seriously.
We are eternal children, and if we forget to play, we forget our own essence.
Cycle after cycle, I embrace and free myself from stories that hold me in fear, that hold me back from being unapologetically wild, from keeping me from finding true peace and freedom.
I invite you now into a space where you can embrace genuine root healing so that the seeds you plant are nurtured in soil, not sand.
Healing your own ecosystem at the pace of Nature, and allowing your journey to look exactly as your own.

Whether you are a woman, a man, or if you choose to be known as other.
If you’re a fellow member of the LGBTQ+ community, from any background, faith, religion, or culture, you are welcomed here.
You’re now invited to step into acceptance of all that you are.
To be witnessed, acknowledged, supported, and given the tools so that YOU are in charge of your own healing and development.
My promise is to hold you in fierce love and accountability, in sacredness and safety, and all that I ask is that if you match that, you’ll witness your own Light come to Be.
a little story...
I've been asked often what the OHM represents, and the story is threefold...
Taking letters from my heritage-given last name and giving a nod to where I've come from that ties into my life as a yogini...
OHM, when spoken, mirrors AUM, the resounding sound and vibration of Creation, another nod...
And finally, OHM's law, a measure of the resistance of flow within electric currents, nods to the study of our internal resistances and how they lessen the eternal flow of our own energy within our lives, and how to create a life liberating one's self of the blocks.
A final nod to my love of word play and puns.
I wish I could say I was witty enough to come up with it purposefully, but in a beautiful and universal connection between sincerity and silliness, OHM Illuminated was born of coincidence and kismet.

"NATURE LOVES COURAGE"
“Nature loves courage. You make the commitment and nature will respond to that commitment by removing impossible obstacles.
Dream the impossible dream and the world will not grind you under, it will lift you up. This is the trick. This is what all these teachers and philosophers who really counted, who really touched the alchemical gold, this is what they understood.
This is the shamanic dance in the waterfall. This is how magic is done.
By hurling yourself into the abyss and discovering it's a feather bed.”
